Bear Viewing Tour - Group

Rates include a three to four-hour, fully guided tour, with approximately two hours of scenic flying, an hour and a half of bear viewing and a thirty-minute walk to the bear viewing area. Destination is Frazer Lake or the Katmai Coast depending upon best bear viewing opportunities.

RESERVATION POLICY:

We ask to confirm your reservation that you check the box "Save Card On File" and pay a one-time non-refundable booking fee of $50.00 OR make a pre-payment of 30% of the tour cost.

Kingfisher reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 30% of the trip cost if reservation is cancelled within 30 days of tour date to the card saved to file. This protects us from no-show and verifies your reservation and holds a place in our schedule.

 

Trips cancelled more than 30 days will be refunded the prepayment less a 3% credit card processing fee. Full payment is due in person on day of the flight - please bring your payment method with you.

Changes made to a confirmed reservation will incur a $75.00 change fee.

Flights cancelled due to weather based upon our pilots decision or uncontrollable circumstances will be refunded the prepayment less a 3% credit card processing fee.


Weight and Safety Policies:
 Our aircraft operate under strict weight and safety limitations. For emergency preparedness, all guests must be able to enter and exit the aircraft without assistance. We follow two additional weight policies:

Individual Weight Policy
Guests whose combined body weight and gear exceed 260 pounds (118 kg) may incur additional weight-based charges.
Group Weight Allocation
Each group is allocated 215 pounds per person. If the group’s total weight exceeds this allocation, additional weight-based charges may apply. Examples:
• A group of 2 is allocated 430 lbs
• A group of 3 is allocated 645 lbs
We strive to accommodate everyone while maintaining required safety standards and weight limits. Please plan to step on the scale at check-in. If a guest’s actual weight exceeds what was provided during booking—whether intentional or unintentional—and the aircraft’s capacity is surpassed, the guest will not be able to join the tour and no refund will be issued. Final additional weight charges are calculated at check-in.

CRUISE SHIPS
 If you are on a cruise ship arriving Kodiak – it will most likely not provide you enough time to take our bear viewing tour.

Please check your cruise date in our reservation system – the time populated is the tour time for that day.

Bear Tours begin April 20. End September 15

We will not adjust the tour time for the ship so there is no need to ask.
