Answers to the questions we hear most.
These details may answer your question immediately and help you prepare the information we need to plan your flight.
I am on a cruise ship—can you offer me a tour?
We are typically available for scenic flights on cruise-ship days. If your ship’s time in port aligns with one of our listed bear-viewing tours, joining that tour may also be possible. We cannot reschedule a tour around a ship, add a different tour day, or change the published schedule for a port call. Please compare your ship’s arrival and all-aboard times carefully before contacting us.
Can you start my tour from Homer, Seward or Anchorage?
No. Kingfisher Aviation is based in Kodiak, and all of our tours and flights originate here. You will need to travel to Kodiak before your scheduled flight with us.
How do I get to Kingfisher?
Please arrive at 1829 Mill Bay Road at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time. We have ample parking for rental and personal vehicles, and Kodiak has several taxi services. There are no active Uber or Lyft drivers in Kodiak as of 2026. In limited circumstances, we may be able to provide courtesy transportation to Kingfisher before your flight. This is arranged one request at a time, must be confirmed in advance and is not guaranteed.
Do you visit Brooks Falls?
No. Kingfisher Aviation does not visit Brooks Falls. Our bear-viewing destinations and operating dates are listed on the Bear Viewing page.
Do you transport hunters?
Kingfisher is an FAA-certificated air taxi and may provide point-to-point transportation for passengers and their gear. We do not choose hunting areas, arrange hunts or provide guiding or outfitting services. You must name your requested destination and complete your own research beforehand, including obtaining all required licenses, permits and land-access permissions. Transportation remains subject to aircraft access, weather and availability.
